Pages and forms

Short pages, clear offers, forms that ask what matters

Copy, layout, mobile checks and form setup for pages that sit behind your ads, built on a platform you control.

Where the form fits

On a lead-capture page, the form is the point of the whole thing, so most decisions start there and work outward. What do you need to know to follow up with someone? Name and a way to reach them, usually. Maybe a service type or a rough project size. Every extra field is one more thing to type with a thumb.

The page around the form exists to give people enough reason to fill it in. The headline sets the context, a short section explains the offer, and a few plain points answer the questions people tend to have before sharing their details. Consent wording and a privacy link sit right by the button.

After the form comes the thank-you page, which confirms the request went through and says what to expect. It is also where a conversion is usually recorded for your ad platforms.

From brief to live page

The work starts with what you already know: the offer, the type of customer, the ads that will run and how your team follows up. From there a provider drafts a page, usually in a page builder or on your existing site, and shares a preview link.

You read it, correct anything inaccurate, and approve the consent wording. The provider builds the form, connects it to wherever leads should go, and sets up a thank-you page. Several test submissions confirm that each one arrives once, in the right place, with all fields intact.

Only then are ads pointed at the page. Most providers keep a short change log after launch, so if something shifts in the numbers you can see what was edited and when.

Access and assets to have ready

Projects stall most often while someone looks for a login. Gathering these before work starts helps:

  • Admin or editor access to your website or page builder, added as a separate user
  • Access to your domain's DNS settings, if a new subdomain is needed
  • Your logo in a sharp format and your brand colors
  • Photos you own or have licensed for this use
  • The address that should receive form submissions, or CRM access
  • Your privacy policy link
  • Access to Google Tag Manager, GA4 and your ad accounts for tracking

Share access by adding users, not by sending passwords. Most platforms support this, and it makes removing access at the end a matter of a few clicks.

Questions about landing pages and forms

How many fields should a lead form have?

Only as many as your follow-up uses. Name and a way to reach the person are the core. Add a service type or company name if your team sorts requests by them. Each field you add asks a bit more of the visitor, so cut any that nobody reads.

What is message match?

It means the landing page repeats what the ad said. If the ad mentions a specific service or offer, the page headline and opening lines should mention the same thing. Visitors who see something different from what they clicked often leave without reading further.

Why does the thank-you page matter?

It tells the visitor their request arrived and what happens next, which cuts down on duplicate submissions and confused follow-up calls. It is also a reliable place to record a conversion for GA4 and your ad platforms, since visitors only reach it after submitting.

Send your request with a work email and a few notes about the campaigns you have in mind.
